Evaluation Types
Tandem Behavioral Health offers comprehensive psychological evaluation services. Evaluation types are outlined below:
General Evaluation
When the picture is unclear, our general evaluation offers a structured, evidence-based assessment to identify what is—and is not—driving current difficulties. In-person testing with a ~5-week turnaround yields a clear diagnostic impression and practical next steps for home, school, or work.
Learning Disability Evaluation
Structured evaluation of suspected learning differences using standardized achievement batteries and processing measures, coupled with multi-informant history. We address differential diagnosis (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, language) and provide targeted, school-implementable recommendations; in-person testing with reports in ~5 weeks.
Social/Emotional/Behavioral Evaluation
Diagnostic clarification across social, emotional, and behavioral domains—including mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and disruptive behavior concerns—while considering co-occurring or alternative explanations. Evaluations are conducted in person, with a detailed written report typically available ~5 weeks after testing.
Bariatric Evaluation
Pre-surgical Bariatric Evaluation for adults focused on readiness, risk factors, and adherence. We assess mood/anxiety, eating behaviors, substance use, supports, and medical/behavioral history, and provide a clear report for your surgical team; in-person testing, with results typically delivered in ~5 weeks.
